Check with Ben. Looks like he did a nice job with his bulkhead.

It was fairly involved but it will look great, i used the old ones as a template for shape and dimensions, then i cut the new wood to the basic shape, trimmed it to be perfect and but a layer of glass tape on the edges. then i measured where it meets the cap and overlaps on the top and bottom and routed it to the depth so it would sit flush with both. then put a layer of roven on the outside. after that i put it in the boat with epoxy and silca where it over laps and glased the sides to the hull/liner. the rest is all fairing, but i did this cuase it will look amazing when its all painted white. and on a bright note, i think ill be finishing the boat!!!! well that was for the port side, as you can tell the starboard side was allot more involved, but done the same basic way. except for this one a rectangle slightly smaller then the console pod was cut out of the bulk head (and saved to be used as a door)but then the bulkhead was put glassed and put in in the same fasion and the console pod was built glassed completely and glassed onto the bulk head. and then lottttssssss of fairing. but it came out really neat so that all the wiring will be inside the console pod and incredibly easily accessable from in the cabin(and batteries are going to be put in the cabin where a potty would be (to keep weight foward)) i would guess you dont want to get this involved but its food for thought

Thanks! As you say, it's pretty involved but it sure looked nice. I'll have to find a place to park the boat to work on her while I do this mod. If it's OK I'll keep you on line in case I need some advice!
