Better than I expected, I also might add since the wind will be down a bit for a couple days the water may clear and Kings and Mackeral will be available all around Egmont Key. Briguy I agree but it looks like the Skyway will be fishable and there are certainly more debris piles and bigger snapper, I an really looking to do some snapper and grouper fishing around the bridge.

. . . and bring wood, it will be cool in the evenings so a nice big fire will be welcome.
I picked up a 6-pack of fire logs tonight at Wally mart; 36 lbs . . . should hold us for a little while! Record low temps in this area last night . . got down to 48! Even had to turn the A/C off! Denny

To all of you lucky souls going to "VDR Fest",

Make it a great time, be safe and when you've done enough partying for yourself, remeber you have to party some more for those of us who can't be there with you!! Safe Times, Flat Water, and Tight Lines - take care and be well.

Went to war with the trailer yesterday. General McClellan was not invited. Jeb Stuart and I rounded up the horses and mounted the charge. Last weeks battle at the ramp killed two springs. Thank god that didn`t happen at Cold Harbor or YeeHaw junction.
Lots of fire here and it had to get hot. Equalizer bars frozen, and tires scalloped from previous owners bearing neglect. CRC instant galvanizer cans at the ready. New cadre of springs and bushings from the Hub. Wheels and tires for Rob at Noel`s. Great price! Thanks Rob! Blood, Sweat, and Tears provided the entertainment in the driveway. Lots of smoke and screams.
Ah, sweet victory.
Now , to put some more lipstick on the pig!

I picked up 36 Kazoos for the talent portion of the show.

No open fires? Thems fightin words!

According to the Farmers' Almanac we are in for a REAL cold snap for our gathering :

October 28th-31st An unseasonably chilly spell of weather coincides with Halloween, low 60, high 78.. That's too bad we have to deal with that kind of weather .
I guess that weather prediction was dead-on when I posted this on 10/1

Thanks BigLew, we will raise many a beverage in our Northern Bretheren's honor. Of course the action pictures will be posted ASAP identifying all the rowdy VDR Players involved.
