Just to follow up. I ended up using the frame to a party tent and shrink wrapping over that. I used a $50 propane torch, it got the job done but be sure to get some shrink tape to patch up all your mistakes if it’s your first time! Haha! I then bought a propane heater from Home Depot, I keep it set to low and it will get me 30 degrees above ambient temps.
When I’m working with resin I turn the heater off, it gives me a little more working time and keeps things safe. Then I run a fan to try and ventilate everything for a bit, come back turn on the heater and let things set. |

I went with a wood frame with a shrinkwrap cover. No heater yet, but I like the idea. No worries about melting the shrinkwrap? I still need to get a tarp down to cover the dirt.

Wow you got a door on there, nicely done! No problems with it melting the shrink wrap at this point, i have had it on for a solid 8 hours and no problems, on low you get a lot of mileage from the propane tank. It might snow this weekend, looking forward to cranking the heat and seeing what she can do!
Another important thing to note If you can see to the left of the thermometer I have a carbon monoxide detector that shows real time PPM of carbon monoxide, it wasn't expensive but piece of mind. I also have a thermometer that has an external sensor so I can do back inside and see what the temp of the tent is as things are curing to make sure its all going well. |
