I just made a new tank, I went with .125 due to the cost of materials only being $25 more when I bought the aluminum. The original 70 gallon tank I had pulled out of mine was .090 5052, it was 30 years old. If it weren’t for the foam around the tank getting water logged and holding moisture up against it causing pitting it would have went back in.
