Yamaha Outboard Technician, rigger:
2 years exp in field, own tools.
Be familiar with all boat systems, 12v, hydraulic, etc.

Fiberglass Technician:
Experience in poly and vinylesters, gelcoat, composites, epoxies, , 2 years exp in field, own tools.

References, own reliable transportation, valid drivers license, able to legally work in US.

No, but if the Mods feel I should pony up for that, I will.

Interesting though. I did not expect much response from this site, I was hoping though that people would look and pass it on.
I have had four (4) view's and 3 comments, the comments coming from myself and FF.
Is the economy that good that no-one needs work? Or have we just gotten lazy-----.
And, I am not the only person in the marine field complaining about this.

People are getting lazy... Good luck on your hunt... Its hard to get people to work anywhere.... If i lived down there i would work for you on my 14 days off for the experience... My buddy that has the canvas shop complains about people he tries to get to help... he calls them board holders... because they are qulified to hold the other end of the board and thats it.... if he has large of complicated jobs that require extra help htat has to be able to think he schedules it when i'm home...

You would think bad as the economy is there would be people knocking down your door for work. I know people are getting lazier and lazier but wow. I would think you would at least get some unqualified basic laborers wanting work. This just shows how sorry people are getting and how the unemployed doesn't really want to work. Good luck. Like rusty said if I was closer I would like to get some good experience out of it myself.

What you both have said is so true.
At the beginning of the Great Recession I was having very good qualified people begging for work for little pay.
Now I can't get unqualified people to apply.
I take that back, I have people come fresh out of trade skool (they are not young) who want to make $25 an hour with NO experience or tools and they want to work w/e's to see if it works out for them before they quit their serving job.
