Default Re: Raising the transom on my 18 SF?

Welcome to the site. When the time comes to redo my transom, I'm going to raise it 5" and get the 25" conversion for the motor, (I have the 20" transom), and raise the floor a couple of inches. Presently, the water only comes over the stern into the splashwell when I'm backing. My drain holes are at water level, but, any weight, i.e. me or somebody moving to the stern lets more water in the drain holes. I have a bulkhead in front of the splashwell that keeps it out of the cockpit, but, want to be able to leave those plugs out so the cockpit would drain as intended.
