The stringer lay up on the Ocean Master is typical stringer design of most boats, that layup is not only a Sea Craft idea.
Pipe - The hollow fiberglass box stringer was a Mosley design according to the article in Professional Boat Builder (http://www.classicseacraft.com/moselyarticle11.htm)
Do you know of any other boats that used this type of stringer system in 1974? Brown and Hauptner's was a seacraft dealership in those days too

Bryan - what's the clearance on the bridge?

Trayder - Yes I have seen Other Tom's Whitewater and she is absolutly beautiful.

Big - The Bridge clearance is about 6'6" on a normal High tide and about 10 -12 on a normal low. I would not mind much if the boat didn't fit at the extremes, I would just have to plan my trips a little better. Besides the 20SF will fit all the time.

I do need to stay with outboards because the river is tidal and has a low spot that needs to be jumped over at certain tides but generally there is 4 to 16 feet in the river at most times.
Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Agree with the other guys, your whitewater will ride better than the 31 OM.......but its a tank ! If I ever owned an island in the bahamas, the OceanMaster would be on the short list of "Brutes" that you could hang a pair of 225 4S on, barrier coat the bottom, and leave it there - forever!

thanks for the compliments, I need to send some "finished" bert pics, before it goes away....
