when it's easier to wake-up at 3 a.m. to go fishing then wake-up at 7 a.m. to go to work.

when you practice casting in your front yard.

when you look at every body of water no matter how small and wonder if there is fish in it.

when there is a rod and a tackle box in you car as the EMERGENCY kit.

24 hours of straight fishing and you cant stay awake 1 hour for class

when you realize the weather man is ALWAYS wrong.

when you use your kids as a cast net target.

When your girlfriend breaks up with you because she said you fish too much and don't spend enough time with her.
You enjoy making chum for bait fish.
You make a lanyard for your cell phone out of 100lb. mono and attach it together with a swivel.
When your daily diet consists of something with fish in it.
When your out on your boat and you know greenbacks are in the area because you can smell them.
Your spring break revolves around fishing.
when there is an Ande Fishing Line "Book of Knots" and a couple of sections of parachute cord on the back of the toilet.

when you stop by every pawn shop you see to find a good deal on another rod or reel. im up to 25 now shimano tld 25 new never spooled in box 75$ you would have thought i struck gold.

when you go to the grocery store and see that Grouper, Mahi, Tuna, and whatever costs $x/pound. And can reasonably justify spending a fortune on a boat and gear and "catch that fish for free". I promise you we ALL pay alot more than $x/pound when you do the math!

when you pass up thanksgiving dinner with the girlfriend and meeting her family to go hit the flats, then fight about it for a week!

when the only time you drive below the speed limit is over bridges (looking for bait)!

When you speed up through traffic to see what kind of boat is ahead of you?
Lunchtime at the tackle store and forget to eat?
When you ask your wife what she wants to do tonight and the answer is "WE ARE NOT GOING TO BASS PRO SHOPS!!!" but we still do.
when your X and you split up & you drop $1600 for you and your fishing budy to go on a 7 day trip to Guadalupe island to catch blue fin...
when you spend the whole year dreaming how the fishing will be on your annual week long trip....
when you start planning the friday night fishing trip, saturday morning fishing trip, and sunday afternoon fishing trip on monday morning.
when you have the tide patterns for your area memorized
when you start to wonder why your getting wierd looks for fishing during a weeknight.
when you tell a girl before you get with her: "dont make me choose between you and fishing"
when you give your live shrimp back massages because you think it makes them swim better.
when someone says "shrimp", the first word to pop into your head is "live" instead of "cocktail"
when you curse at fish for not eating your bait.
knowing how to identify fish by scientific name, even though your not a marine biologist.
