1969 Seafari for sale
**Paid fee of $25.00 on 6/6/16 transaction number 1WC06520683999846
####(BUMP) PRICE REDUCTION##### For Sale is a 1969 20' Seafari and galv.trailer with a 150hp Johnson outboard 9 parts motor) I really want to get this 20' Seafari out of the yard.I was hoping to get it repowered and in the water, but my body won't let me.I'm into this boat and trailer for about $900.00. I paid $650.00 for it and spent another $150.00 for bunks and another $75.00 for tarps to cover it for the past winter. **NEW PRICE $1000.00** which would be just about breaking even on what it cost me in total. It really is in good condition the transom is solid as a rock and the hatches are all solid as well.I cleaned out the bilge a few days ago and all looks good (although dirty).Heck the trailer is solid and any rust is superficial.it's worth at least three or four hundred dollars itself. Any interest? I think it's a very fair price, but feel free to make me an offer but I'd like to at least recover my cost. I don't want to have to cover it back up for the winter again,I'd rather it go to someone who could use it.It really doesn't need much back breaking work.I however can barely bend without pain.Doc says 6 months to a year before I can be somewhat normal. Thanks all. ************************************************** ************************************************** **************** I bought this boat in the hopes of doing a little glass work along with a repower and some electrical and steering, thinking I could use it close to home on the salt when I wasn't on the Tsunami up on the great lakes. Health issues however have thrown a monkey wrench into those plans,I can barely walk never mind doing any kind of heavy work so I've decided to sell it. I never understood why there was such a dedicated following for the Seafari models, but after having this in my yard and getting the time to really look at it,I know why.It really is a neat boat. Anyway, the hull is in very good condition considering the age, there really is only one ding that needs a tiny bit of filling. depending on the level of work that someone would like to do to it,it wouldn't need a ton of work. The transom is solid as are the hatches and deck floor. The previous owner told me that the transom was professionally done over in the early 2000's(about 2005).The amout of glass work would be minimal, someone hacked up the gunwales to mount downriggers, and the same hacker kind of butchered up the area where the steering cable exits therear to the the outboard. It's all pretty simple glass work however so it could be done without a lot of back breaking work *** I tried shaking the outboard up and down to see it the transom would flex, but it was solid, although there is some cracks where the transom corner on the port side is,I think it is just some sloppy workmanship.Banging on the transom with a plastic mallet leave a good solid crisp sound** The outboard motor is most likely a parts motor only,as I think it's seized up.I tried every penetrating oil and rust remover under the sun and still can't get it to turn over. The lower unit seems good, and the control box works fine. Windows all open and are in good condition, there is no broken glass. The steering would need at the least a new cable, although I think a new system would be wise. The wiring needs to be replaced, the bow rail is solid, someone covered the bollsters with some kind of heavy plastic material, but they are in good shape.Rear cleats are the original Seacraft Marinum ones. There is a easily functioning kicker motor bracket rated for a 15hp motor. The cabin is in good shape, all the hatch covers are there and the glasswork is nice inside the compartments.Someone did however rip the headliner material out so its raw fiberglass above your head. I have all the necessary paperwork showing how they applied a state number for the hull ID and I have the title for the boat and also the reg papers for the trailer. The trailer is a 1972 Shoreline and is in solid condition, there is only some surface rust on it,there is no structural damaging rust on it.It's rated for 3175lbs.The tires are 15" but have a fair amount of dry rot on them so they'd need to be replaced.I also have new carpeted bunks for the trailer, they just need to be installed. Overall this is a pretty nice boat without needing tons of work, heck if someone wanted to, they could do some minimal glass work with a bit of basic wiring and steering, throw a good used outboard on it and have fun with it. BOAT IS IN WESTERN MASS.(SPRINGFIELD AREA) *****The selling price is $1,500.00************ Best is to call me or send a PM or Email best time to phone is from 10.00am to 3.00pm or after 8.00 pm in the evening. Phone # is 413-218-3617 I have 50 pictures of it,but I'm going to try and post it as one album so that I wont fill the message board with so many individual pics. Seems like a stellar deal, if I had 1500.00 and didnt think my wife would divorce me, I would pick this up so I had a Seafari and a CC.

Any interest at alI? I'm open to all offers on this boat.
I'd like to get it out of the yard.It really is in solid condition.Transom and decks are solid.needs no major glass work.Never been bottom painted. If I didnt have all the spine and back problems I'd take a month or two and finish it off and use it myself like my original intention I hate the thought of putting it on craigslist so many spammers and time wasters on it. ************************************************** ************************************************** *******

Hey, if you haven't sold it by fall-ish, let me know and we'll make a deal.
I'll drive out west from the Cape and bring her east for a winter refit. Would be a nice upgrade from my SF18. :-)

MisterJohnson was born somwhere in the the late seventies or early eighties.I could be wrong how ever. The lower unit seems fine and the trim unit works fine. The starter spins but doesn't engage.Tried to turn it over with a breaker bar on the flywheel with no luck.
