20' 1972 Seacraft potter hull and material to finish
well, things have been very hectic for me lately and I am not going to have time in the near future to finish.
1972 20' potter 4 stringer hull. what has been done composite transom has been installed little glass work to finish boat was soda blasted and all bottom paint has been removed also bilge area was blasted to clean it up all foam was cut and placed to raise stringers 2" gunnel cap was glassed and filled to make an even 6" all the way around hull was cored and glassed with 1708 and a layer of mat. material and parts included 55 gallon drum of resin ( about 48 gallons left) gallon of mekp roll of stitch mat roll of regular mat 3/4 divinycell scrim foam for floor more than enough for the floor 2 sheets of 1/2" divinycell 4'x8' rigid foam 2 sheets of 3/4" divinycell 4'x8' rigid foam 1 sheet of 1" divinycell 4'x10' rigid foam 1/2" of 2" foam left from stringers enough to build lateral bulkheads 7 gallons of divilette putty 5 gallons of polyfair fairing compound console out of a 18 sf I know there is more stuff I will look in the morning here is the link to the work done http://www.classicseacraft.com/commu...ad.php?t=24262 need trailer to pick up. everything can load into boat except drum of resin which I can fork into a pick up truck 3k have about 5k into it. I wish I lived closer. Been thinking about another rebuild....You have half the work finished already. Good quality workmanship.

What a shame, I was looking forward to watching the build. I would say this boat and the last 20' sf you did were examples of some of the finest craftsmanship that I have seen done. I have picked up some valued info from your threads. Good luck on the sale.

I am second guessing myself. 2 kids my buisnesses and life in general have been very busy and dont see any signs of slowing down for awhile. I am not one to let stuff sit for years. I am thinking about finishing the stringers and deck and sending it somewhere to be faired and painted

It would be worth a lot more finished out a little more for sure.

You're about halfway there right now so it would be feesable to pay someone to do the stuff you don't like to mess with. If you have the room to keep it and only if you work on it a couple hours a week at least you're making progress and doing something you like to do?

Well said Sir! I would consider getting the kids to help you even it's passing you a wrench an hour a week. Getting them involved will make them enjoy the ride even more & you have created great & long lasting family memories
