painting the deck
Looking to put a new coat of paint on my deck. Any of you guys ever do this with a roller and brush? This would be my first time doing anything like this. Anyone have a thread of their work I could take a look at? Any info would help.
Oh its a 73' 20' CC. |

Just rolled non skid on my 20 last weekend with two foam rollers, 9" for majority of deck and I think a 2" for tighter areas. It went on pretty well, proper prep work is the key. I taped , lightly sanded with 80, used interlux primer and then interdeck. I had some course non skid so I added it to the interdeck, which for me worked well BC interdeck alone I thought wasn't "grippy" enough. Good luck.

I have used this product (kiwigrip) on the last three boats we built/re-built. Its super easy to apply and holds up very well. Its a lot nicer (IMO) that just adding non-skid to paint. We made a youtube clip of how to apply it.
In full disclosure... My business is a distributor/retailer for it. We sell the non-skid additive for paint as well, but I will be using the kiwigrip on my Sea Craft decks.
