Paint question... Rustomleum?
Has anyone tried this stuff? I have had great results with regular rustoleum on rowboats, dories, etc.
They make marine primer, and also marine topsides/bottom paint. Are they just repackaging someone else's products? That regular rustoleum oil-based paint is pretty good. |

Re: Paint question... Rustomleum?
I sprayed their satin white on the cockpit panels and salon doors of my Bertram last season and they have held up pretty well. Can't speak for their bottom paint, though.

Re: Paint question... Rustomleum?
In general, very good paints. Regularly I use the hardware store spray can, very good for the price and the expensive spray can (Hard Hat from Grainger)which is outstanding, but tends to clog. Long ago I used some two part urethane which I could not get to level very well. A friend who is much more meticulous, liked it much better than Awlgrip, excellent results and far less expensive. Also long ago some low volatile epoxy designed for food service areas. Worked fabulous over fresh fiberglass in an icebox.
