Prop size suggestions - '84 20SF with '01 200 HPDI

84's were pretty heavy boats - 2100lbs dry. believe the tank is 50 or 70 gallons. Mostly a Chesapeake Bay boat. What sayeth the prop gurus? Thanks in advance.

19 I say, trading my T Top for your more weight, wonder where the 500+ lbs are? Mine turns 5600 to 5800 with a 19

Ahhh - i should add I also have a T-Top on her. Not sure that makes a difference. Evidently the early 80's non-tracker and non-potter (think those were the SIC era boats IIRC) were heavy fuggers. Lots o glass.

Tell me gear ratio, and whether you have bottom paint.

I think Dixon is close, though. 19P cupped 3-blade stern-lifter, with some level of progressive rake if you are mounted high. Or maybe go to 16P or 17P cupped 4-blade if you're looking for maneuverability, mid-range performance and hole shot over top end.

- not sure, will have to check specs on motor.

...if you're looking for maneuverability, mid-range performance and hole shot over top end.
- I am more interested in midrange and hole-shot - this is a chesapeake bay boat and I get a little wary with lots of floating debris on a 20'er that would do 50+knts - just does not sound safe. If i can get a better cruise that is a bit more smooth (think in general 4's are more smooth that 3's), then that is a good thing.

- the motor has never been mounted to this boat hence why I was looking to the group for their experience.

Revolution 4 is my new favorite seacraft prop. Rev4 gets on a plane at lower rpms than the Mirage Plus, it's better balanced (less vibration), and has the same top end. Sternlift is even better than Mirage Plus.
