Default some tools

I'm not an "engine" person by any stretch of the imagination, but I'd like to become more hands-on regarding maintenance and up-keep of my Yamaha 130 2S. I'd appreciate suggestions on tools that I should have (for example, torque wrenches: click or dial, drive size, range?, a compression gauge, etc.). FWIW, I have a basic collection of sockets, wrenches, etc. in english and metric sizes.

What year 130??? I have a Clymer manual for older Yams. I'll let go for shipping. IMO, Unless you get into any area of re-building you won't need anything more. I maintain my Yam 250 and basically change foot oil, filters, thermostats, poppit valves, adjust oil pump, O2 sensor cleaning, plug changes, etc. and if it gets beyond that I'll address it then or take it somewhere.

My 130 is a 2003. Bought it as a new crate engine from this past spring from a dealer in Mobil and started using it right after Labor Day.
Thanks for the offer on the manual, but I already have a factor manual and a Solec book.
I moore the boat so I'm concerned about bolts freezing up over time. I'd like to loosen the ones holding the lower unit on and put them back in greased-up and I think they need to be torqued. Also, I use my SeaCraft a lot so I'm looking ahead to a water pump replacement sometime next season or next fall when I haul it out.

I agree on the lower unit bolts! I've changed several water pumps and have never torqued those bolts but always used anti-sieze, not to say they shouldn't be torqued though. Search Hull Truth, there is a step by step with pics of Yam. water pump replacement. The only hard part is the small metal sleeve.
