Anyone out there with information regarding fishing charters out of Cabo?

I'll be going the first week of December.

This place is cheaper than the traditional charters out of Cabo. About 45 miles n/o Cabo via chicken truck. Accomodations were real nice.

I go to cabo every year. There are plenty of charter boats down there. What type of fishing? What kind of boat? I'll give you any info I can.

Hi EBEACH- Sorry I couldn't get to you sooner. Depends on what fish you are looking for. Right now, marlin are slow but improving. Tuna fair to good and dorado off San Cristobal to the "parking Lot" should be good. I have never talked to this boat, but was moored across from him for 10 years, and he always seemed to get fish. Charges $450 for his Cruiser(named Bob Marlin, no relation) and $175 for a super panga. You can book him at http://www.jcsportfishing.com/ .
Go cruiser if you want Marlin or big tuna, and panga if you want Dorado, Roosters, or even Marlin if they are hitting off the lighthouse(be sure to ask). Golden Gate is a good marlin spot usually this time of year, but 30 miles out. Good luck. I am sure you will do well. November is my favorite fishing month. Good Luck, Cabo Bob

Definitely bring something to fish from the beach with. You can catch a number of things from the beach (sierra, jacks, ladyfish, pompano, etc, etc). If you take the cerveza down on the beach you can combine your two activities - they go well together [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Mark - don't know if you can get Roosterfish there from the beach (a dream of mine) but whatever you do, bring at least a half dozen Roberts Rangers, Orange, Red/White, Parrot (lime green), and Banana. They are like GOLD down there and I've heard go for as much as $15-20 each and you can get them for $4 each...

I caught a roosterfish down there off the beach in August.....on fly. They were keying in on the mullet right along the shoreline and showed NO interest in poppers of any kind (we threw everything AND the kitchen sink at them). Finally, a fly that was about 7" long and the same colorings as the mullet did the trick. Great fun to hook a fish like that and then have it head for Mazatlan while connected to your fly line.
