Default Too good to be true?

Gentlemen,

Brian Miller was kind enough to post 2 ads he saw in Baltimore. One was listed a 71 19' cuddy I/O, trailer. I saw the post Thursday morning and was in Baltimore by Midnight after a 5 hr. drive.

By 7:30 AM Friday, money changed hands and we were hooking up a 1971 20' SeaFari, 4 cyl. Merc I/O with "reconditioned" outdrive sitting in the cockpit. Almost unbelievably, this boat is an almost all original 71 with 153 hours! I mean, can that be right? The floor and deck feel solid, but the transome will need a complete replacement. It's a perfect project boat that might have a season or 2 left in her.

The trailer is the original 1971 dual axle trailer with very questionable rubber. But it actually rode very well for the 350 mile ride home.

I think we may have created a monster!

CSCA, Classis SeaCraft Anonomous will be meeting ever other Wednesday at 8pm. I think you may want to consider stopping by for a meeting or two.

The boat looks very nice and quite original and classy. Congrats.

Which one are you going to bring down to RI in Aug or can you tow them in tandem?

Looks like someone had a hard time deciding on a water line. Did the pup christen the tire?

Otto-

You're a riot! By years end you'll probably have 5 Seacrafts.

Good luck with the new project.

-Ed-

PS - How did the paint job come out on the 23???

MUST HAVE MORE SEACRAFTS! After selling my beloved Searay 21 Laguna CC, there was a big hole in the warehouse. So, despite Finster's 4 boat theory, I'm back to 6 boats, if you include the 19' Lightning blowbote and 10 inflatable.

If I'm not back to 4 boats by the end of summer, send in the guys with the white coats. Does Zoloft help this kind of "problem"?

Otto,
Zoloft only numbs everything, it won't cure your ailment. I think the only cure is a frontal lobotomy, or would that be a bottle in front of me? I'll take the drinking route...but then again, by the looks of things on this site, drinking can cause S.C.A.S. (SeaCraft Acquisition Syndrome) as well .

I retract my original statement, the frontal lobotomy is the only cure.

Otto- You are well on your way with your Seacraft collection. HermCo- Any celebrity appearance by Mr. Potter is welcome. Ya know, since the legend is only getting greater and everyone else is knocking off our hulls.... maybe M.r. Potter is ready to slightly modify his original Seacraft hull and name it a Potter Craft!
