As for cost, I got the new 300 Suzuki, controls, SS prop, digital gauge and all that is needed, old motor pulled, new on installed, done deal. $20k. Hard to beat that!

I think I read right that you already had the repower done, but I just did the same thing. 2001 23 Seacraft with a 300 Suzuki 30 inch shaft mounted right on the transom. Love it do with I could get the last inch of the motor out of the water when its tiled up in the slip, but I didn't want to put a bracket on or a jack plate.

If you want the last inch of motor out of the water when in the slip you can do it easy.
Put 50 lbs in the bow. Raise the motor one bolt hole. Quote:

I'll have to check what hole I am mounted in. It's running great so not wanting to start messing around and going up and down holes.
