Chance, thanks for the response,I will add more foam to the aft end around the tubes on both sides it may help float the transom an extra 1/2 inch.the 3" tubes were a tight fit as it was, the way the 23 Sf stringers are made a 3" standard pvc pipe will not fit.I found OEM style sewer drain thin wall stuff. My boat originally only had one side tube and twin engines, talk tight!!, but now I have two full tubes, getting ready to Rig it...

Some boat porn for you guys...

Here's a shot under the floor. Shims in place and new rigging tubes.

Fitting the floors. Still need to make the lip to hold the center hatch.

Made up a jig for the top lip on the floors to hold the center hatch up. These are glassed with 1708 and should be perfectly smooth when I remove the jig.

This is the jig in place. Just waiting for things to dry now.

Here is the lip jig set up at a different angle.

Tomorrow the floors can go down with all of the center lips in place and then here is a few more parts and pieces that are in the lineup to get done.

I replaced that tank in my 23 and wish I had either put in a smaller tank or 2 tanks.

priced up a tank today ,cut it down 18" shorter, and took an inch off the width.Cost dealer cost,$1,100 bucks, epoxy coated aluminum. another guy said 850, no coating, another guy powder coats them all, waiting for his price...Watta ya think about powdercoating, apposed to thick epoxy coating?

I've seen a lot of flaking powder coating.... I feel like you get what you pay for in most cases. I love the big tank in our boat (144gal), and it doesn't take long to drain it with the old two smoke on the back. However I do wish when my dad replaced it 10 years ago he split it into 2 or more tanks for weight distribution. I'd rather have too much capacity rather than not enough
