Thanks for the comments, this is a 30' shaft. The scuppers are through the floor, were left original and do not flood the floor. The floor was never raised either. I do not put plugs in them and they work perfectly. The motor weights 570ish pounds which is definitely lighter than the two 175 smokers that were on the boat. The bracket is suppose to add 800 lbs of float which was planned to offset the levered weight. The boat was perfect before and it really helped with the modifications.
