Water in Gas....AGAIN!!

So, considering you put gas in your boat that isn't contaminated with water, the only place water could get into your tank would be through the vent line...with that said, would it make sence to install a close / cut off valve inline (vent line) when the boat is not in use? Seems like this could help with the problem.
