A few lessons I learned.
Do the transom from the inside. I did mine from the outside and ended up cutting the splashwell out any ways to work and on the inside of the transom. Double work. Keep the cap shape correct. It's not flat from bow to stern. Keep the cap off until the floor is done. You cannot get the floor in in 1 piece with the cap on. So my floor has too many seams. My transom is 20" to fit my 20" leg Suzuki. Gonna be a bay/ kingfish off bean point boat. I used arjay pourable ceramic transom material. If you transom is shot like mine make sure you flatten the outer skin if you are going to re use it. Mine still has a little curve from where the engine was torqued on the squishy old transom . Jorgeinmiami has a really good thread that is master angler specific as well. Vezo 2 has had a master angler for like 20 years so he can answer questions about how the boat is to live with. |

I got my boat flipped and back on the trailer.
Plan is to wash, dewax, sand , repair, fair, wash again and do an epoxy+ graphite coat on the bottom. Will super clean or mean green get rid of wax residue? I will be Using epoxy resin for repairs and epoxy + microbaloons and total fair fairing putty for fairing. Anyone see a flaw in this plan |

Be careful with the epoxy if you want to paint or spray gel-coat. Remember the saying, "epoxy sticks to everything, nothing sticks to epoxy." I have places on my boat, especially the CC, that I painted over epoxy with micro-balloons, which I used a a fairing compound, using the Signature paint. After 11 years it's coming loose.

What you don't see is the 3 hours of her dead center of frame jumping around and asking if she can help.
