Been a while since I posted on the ol race hull, for all of you that wonder the progress on the hull, still haven't dived into it yet with the sawzaw but just about got all the parts I need to make it run like it was made to do. I got two 2.5 blocks that I am cutting into steel bore 260's spec. that should make 500hp for the pair no problem, I got several offshore mids with the exhaust snouts to let her talk and I got a deal on a pair of sportmaster lowers too. I stopped by my guys shop that builds the racing outboard to get the blocks worked on and the cylinder porting done and came across a pair of 225 promax 225 from mercury racing. They have been modified with svs intakes and should put out around 240hp each. I ended up getting a heck of a deal on them and some other stuff so I may hang them while the second pair of power heads are getting cut and modified. She should scream! Mid 70's in this boats future. I got a lot of glass work to do to get her prepped and ready but now that it is getting warm out I am going to get on it soon.

A well known guy down here that builds merc drag outboards for a living turned me on to a guy that had tons of stuff that is getting out of preformance outboard and boats completely. I have been buying a few parts here and there from him when I have been able. Still need a few things yet but got most of the big stuff.

I`m an Antique Slacker now. Or not. Seems the 25yr old Slacker needs to be 30 to qualify.

So we are having a summer storm here and as soon as I read your post...
Boom, lightning and thunder blew our power out for a second. TV and LT went radio silent.
An omen I tell ya. Did Noah run Mercs or OMC`s? I`m thinkin Mercs.

Sweet score there. I`m afraid to ask what you stole those for. So far I have a leaning post,
bimini, fully rebuilt Hynautic helm and ram, 10 gang Ventura switch panel and a hankerin
for a brace of G2 250 HO`s. 1200 ft lbs of torque. Yum.

We can dream right?

Saw a bracket for a great price, but some of the welds were cracked.

Is everyone reading this thinking sell your damn 20 idjit?
I`ve never met anyone who did not regret selling one. Or an 18.
