Hull side coring?
New to classic seacraft, have a build thread on classic mako but am Rebuilding a 1989 Dusky 203 FAC and am contemplating whether i should remove the liner that is on the boat now and start off with new coring. here is the best picture i have now
As you can see i am replacing the floors as a previous owner did and did a crappy job. i also removed the rear boxes shown here I saw on stricks post he used 3/8" balsa and was wondering what yall think i should do. thanks for the help Randy |

Nothing wrong with Balsa as long as it's above the water line and you take proper care when mounting thru hulls etc.. It should last forever. Balsa is cheap also. The sides of my 20 sf are rock solid.
