Default Shark trip mudhole

Finally got to run offshore yesterday.Ran 40 miles in a 3to4 head sea at 25 mph.My seacraft sliced right through it with no problem.A 25 grady couldn't keep up with me.
We set our baits and started our drift when all off a sudden a 70ft Fin whale surfaced 10ft off my starboard side.It scared the crap out of us.Then two more showed up and swam circles around us for about 20 min.Awesome sight.
A small mako showed up in our slick but something spooked it.We then hooked and released a small Hammerhead.
Later on all 4 shark rods explode at the same time.
A pod of Bull Dolphin hit our baits. It was chaos. They jumped 6ft out off the water and were crossing lines.
Managed to get one.Never seen anything like it.Great trip.

Nice shots and action! I was going to run yesterday morning for an inshore troll trip, but pulled the plug due to thunderstorms. Were you in the vicinity of the lillian? That's where I was going to run to.

Saw your boat (I think) on the bay on my way back from the yankee game today on the seastreak.

I was about 4 miles south of monster ledge and drifted across the hole.We had a bumpy ride home when that south wind kicked up.
Yes I took the wife out to watch the sunset and did see the seastreak go by.

Yeah....they got my Rays today, damn. Yankees win two out of three at Yankee Stadium, gonna be hard for us to catch them winning only one of three in a series. Take care!!

Got it. Yeah I saw your boat from the roof deck of the ferry and thought it looked familiar.

There was a hot jig/chunk bite near where you were fishing last August. Hopefully something sets up inshore as the summer progresses. Good to see nice dolphin like that!

Yankee game was fun, Pettitte got hurt but whatcha gonna do? It was my first trip to the new stadium, very impressive and an easy trip on the ferry.
