Re: 200 hp on a 23 cc
A few years ago I saw one at Point Pleasant NJ while striper fishing, the boat was out there doing its thing just like all the others. Had a 200 mercury blackmax.

I ran a 200 HP Mercury on my 23WA for almost 20 years and had good results. It burnt about 12 gph at 3200 rpm and top speed was 44 mph on good water.

I ran my 23'CC with 200HP for 17 years. The only thing I had a problem with was out running this storm heading back from Walkers

Re: 200 hp on a 23 cc
I run a 200 Yami OX66 on my 23 SF. Cruise at 30mph @ 4000 rpm top end 38-40 mph depending on which prop I have on. Works for me. The motor is light and I don't get wet feet. How often can you run faster than 30? My friend put a 300HPDI on his and he gets up to 50MPH but a lot of money for 10 mph.
