Default Wind Tide Fish'n Report

On Tues 6/26/2007 My son Chase (3.5 yo) and I left Beaufort NC Inlet @7am headed 28nm to 14 Buoy to Kite & Bottom Fish. Our tally for the day on the bottom was 15 lbs. Black Tip Shark, & a 25 lbs. Amberjack. We got a little tired of the bottom, and not enough wind for the kite so we trolled, and caught 35 lbs. Kingfish, and a dozen Mahi from 8 to 12 lbs. I caught none of the fish nor did I help the little man other than put the rod in the holder, and wire and gaff the fish. Neddles to say he slept on the cushions in the corner for the ride in. Sorry to say we lost another smoker king. I had old line on one of my 12LT and the twist in the line cause it to break. I should have ran five mile further, as ther was a good sailfish bite just east of me.

WIND TIDE'
My buddy in Raleigh has a 23 MAKO we are getting ready when the weather cools to replace his transom and get back to fishing that area. His brother has a place across from where Pete's tackle was across fromthe Cathoic Church, he Kept his boat at 70 West Marina for over 20 year's. I'll let you know when we have the work done after the heat wave.
