Default 1975 20’ SF Soft Front Deck

I purchased this boat because of its condition. The floor and transom are all very solid. The front deck where the hatches are is a little soft and concerns me. I am ditching the Mercury 175 Black Max in favor of a 1998 Yamaha 130 V4. I had the fuel tank hatch recored and had a new fuel tank fabricated. I am not looking to rebuild the boat at this time, I just want to get out on the water with summer rapidly approaching.

Does anyone have any suggestions on shoring up the front deck area that does not involve cutting it out and recording?
