Was thinking about selling the ol clunker SeaCraft, mentioned to a few folks if I did not start using it more I was going to sell it and go down to one boat and keep my Pathfinder. Out of the blue I get a call from a friend, of a friend, of my Nephew who heard I might sell my SeaCraft. He wants to come look at it and I told him the lower unit was off for a new water pump and to give me a couple of days to think about it. Anyway my elderly neighbor who's health is not good and can't use his in perfect condition 23' Scout anymore, plus his wife's health has taken a bad turn for the worse, told me he wants to just get rid of the boat without the selling hassle. So my potential buyer calls that morning and tells me he has a very nice stack of "hundreds" he wants to spend on my SeaCraft.......it was close, real close. But I told him I was still not sure about selling it, however I had an option, and then told him about my neighbor's boat, sent him pictures, etc.. Long story short.....he came that afternoon and bought my neighbor's 23' Scout within less than two hours with MY stack of hundreds. He actually called me two days later happy as can be and thanked me for turning him on the Scout.
I'm very satisfied I was able to help out my neighbor and yes, I've still got my SeaCraft, oh yeah, about the Pathfinder, went on the market last Wednesday and I sold it in 48 hours. It's hell to be attached to a 37 year old boat.......
