Default Steering affidavit?

So the guys rigging the new motors say that I need to update my helm pump so that the new seastar tournament cylinder will work correctly. I currently have a hynautic h-50 helm pump. It works flawlessly. They could not figure out how to adapt the hoses from the hynautic system to the seastar system. I had the fittings made which seastar actually sells. Now they said it could take 3-8 hours to bleed the system due to my helm pump being old. I already rebuilt the original cylinder ( hynautic). I had to bleed the system. Maybe 30 minutes. They said that seastar recommended I update the whole thing or sign an affidavit to relieve them of any responsibility. I think this may be total BS. I'm calling seastar today to get a response. I know the 2 systems will work fine together. This is basic hydraulics. What's yalls opinion on this? Of course they want me to update. They want more money!!
