69 20'cc Repower

Guys,

New to the site and to Sea Cratfts.. Just traded for a 69 20' cc. Has a huge bracket and 225 Rude. Way to heavy and really don't care for brackets. Thinking about removal and cutting the transon down to fit a new 25" motor. I have access to Merc and Yami .. thinking of new 175-200 Opti or 150-200 four stroke Yami I might consider doing a port-bracket. Gonna use this boat a weekend toy and not planning on fishing it too often. The floors and tank have been replaced and the transon seems to be dry. Any advise would be appreciated.
