Default Need suggestions repairing metal rubrail

Im pulling my boat for Hurricane Earl and I think it might be some time for some late season TLC. The metal rub-rail (possibly original)on my 1969 20ft SF is starting to come off. The screws holding it in place actually ripped out their holes in several places. What the best way to tackle this? I was think of just filling the stripped screw holes with epoxy and redrilling......
