Advice on repower...

Would like to hear comments people have on these engine choices.
I am working on restoring my 74 23' CC. i have purchased a Hermco bracket and have 2 pretty good deals on a couple etec's available. I would love to get some feedback on the which direction i should go.

Engine 1: 2008 300HP Etec 150 hours engine only about 18 months warranty left
Engine 2: 2007 250HP Etec 25 hours engine and some (not all) accesories rigging yes, controls,tach no, just warrantied in January so have over 2 years left on warranty

The 250 is about 1K less in price than the 300....

I want to hear from anyone running etecs ecspecially on a 23' seacraft.
