Default Re: Motors Done finally

You really should do all - honest, the problem is the labor to pull the PH and break it down - thats why I said shipping it to chris and I can get you some off that price on parts by the way, you will have seals, gaskets, crank bearings, oil pump and gear( thats the Merc booger) to add to that, parts were like 1200 or so - you still need to get somebody to pull the ph and put it back on down there. Chris will have all the stuff back on and all they have to do is hook the cables up, plug the harness in and plug the trim unit wires back up. I was there when we did mine, so I know he just bolted it on and plugged stuff in. No timing or anything needed.

I can even have the parts drop shipped from Mike down there if you find somebody to do the work. It was about 12 hrs total on mine by the way but he didn't charge for that many, that was 2 hrs pulling the damn thing off, the studs get funked up - good dude though

My rectifier was 142 so that was included, you may not need that part - I did the lower main just becasue the seals were worn but that was only $20

I also put reeds in which were 120 from CCMS in Key largo - I would call them and check them out, they do it all too. Tell them I sent you down but I think both brothers know me by my real name (Dixon Cruickshank), get a price from them too. I still owe them $12 because the one forgot to add sales tax, I have the MO to go out but they probably remember me from that - they said forget it but I wouldn't have it, its tough out there. Its actually Chris Carson Marine Service -Key largo, their big on Scream and Fly, everything is inhouse.
