Default WaveCast /WaveSpin spinning reelgate

Have ya'll seen the Doug Hannon reels that are getting all the good reviews?

Well I have two that Flip gave me but he cut the bails off and made them manual reels so I went looking for parts and there are none available because the warranty is two year replacement warranty. Anyway there is more to this story but sometime later...

So I do search for WaveCast reels/Doug Hannon reels and get Lures.com and order two DH3000 for 79.00 each. Get them in the mail and think, I got four reels will keep two for parts/spools etc. Go to switch spools and they won't interchange get looking closer and the new ones are a tad smaller don't have the oiling point and the gear looking thing on the spool is finished different. Anyway I go to Dougs website and register what I think are his reels for warranty on Sunday.

Monday morning I get a call at home from Doug Hannon asking about the reels I just bought thinking Flip emailed him about bail parts. He wants to know about the two I just got.

Long story short Lures.com is selling fake reels under the WaveCast name and using Dougs name and some other shady sh#t like patent violations. Doug has changed all his sh*t to "WaveSpin" and they are the reels that have the two year warranty and the good press. The only place to sell them right now is Cabelas and Dougs website.

I have two on order. O I thought Flip could ramble on about stuff but Doug has him beat, two hours about what kind of stainless steel is used in the bearings etc.
