Default JOE AND THE BRIDGE

Two Men, Dog Escape After Boat Capsizes
POSTED: 2:14 pm EDT April 21, 2005

MIAMI -- Two men and a dog were able to escape without serious injuries after their boat capsized in a canal Thursday.

The men were in a small boat on Snake Creek Canal in northeast Miami-Dade County at 183th Street. Their boat apparently hit a bridge piling and overturned.

From Chopper 6 overhead, one man and the dog could be seen walking around the area and appeared to be unharmed. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue was treating another man at the scene.

The boat had heavy front-end damage and was leaking fuel into the canal. http://images.ibsys.com/2005/0421/4402686.jpg
