Default Tuna fishing tragedy- Morehead City, NC

Hey gents-

I just got back from spending a week down in the New Bern. Morehead City area attending factory training for Grady White and Jones Brothers.

I figured since I was down there I would try and get on a charter with some other guys and do some "tunawishing" out of Morehead City. To make a long story short....i could not round up enough people to make it affordable but the following day i read about a guy from NJ that wdrowned while fishing out of Morehead City. I guess he caught a giant and after he harpooned it, the fish ran and his feet got caught up in the line and he was pulled overboard and drown. A few hours later...some other fisherman noticed his boat drifting alone and when the went to inspect they say the harpoon line still attached to the cleat and when they pulled it onboard they got a double surprise...both the deadfisherman and a giant tuna were still attached. What a sad story....more reasons why we should not fish alone.
