Default Re: Mercury Verado 250

Hey SC - I'm not following your logic.

1. Suzuki has glowing reviews from everyone you talked too.
2. Suzuki cost a 1k less (rigged) than the Verado (w/o rigging, so in reality the Verado is probably $2500+ more expensive)
3. Suzuki's weight is 70lbs less than the Verado (580 vs. 650)
4. You could boost the HP of the mercury to 400hp, but doing so would void the warranty.

Then you looked at your "leaking SeaStar helm with rotten hoses" ($100 fix for new hydraulic hoses and seals for the helm . . . the front mount hydraulic cylinder HC5345 is even the same for both the merc 275 and Suzuki 250 4 stroke) and you decided to buy a Verado ?????

I'm totally lost . . . but I hope things work out for you.
