Thumbs up 86 20' Master Angler issues.

Update. I got the boat about 1 1/2 months ago and it has just hit the water. The previous owner said when he put it away the 93 Johnson 175 Ocean Runner needed a water pump. Water pump was in stalled but when it was test run it pumped plenty of water but had bad spark and wouldn't stay running so a new power pack was installed. This seemed to cure that problem.
I had looked in the gas tank and the 1/4 tank of fuel didn't look or smell bad. I siphoned off 10 gal. and there was only a few drops of water so I added 20 gal. of good fuel and some Star Tron additive in hopes of burning off the old fuel. Well with the boat in the water the natural sloshing of the fuel in the tank has broken loose all the old fuel varnish and now the filter becomes clogged within 1/4 mile of the marina. The tank in the 86 MA is incapsulated in fiberglass so you can't get to it without major surgery.Tuesday I have a tank cleaning service coming that has the ability to pump your fuel threw a series of filters and keep circulating it until it reaches an acceptable amount of micron filtration that my onboard filter can handle. I hope this works. I will let you know how it turns out. Fingers are crossed.
