That's funny Ken, well not if you are the one paying to put gas in the tank. I think that OMC V-8 was the only outboard that needed a 1/2" fuel line, and that was borderline at 4500+ rpms.
I knew an old OMC dealer who put two of those V-8s on a 29' Aquasport (around 1985). Lasted about two months and a trip or two to the middle grounds before he sold them, did not have enough fuel capacity....not even close.
