Default How to make a transom into Fresh canvas?

I just bought a second hull to get into shape,it's a 74' 20 sf that was stolen then sat on the side of the road for almost a year.I am about to tackle filling all previous holes in the transom.I want to fill everything and start from scratch. Can I use six-ten thickened epoxy for simplicity, ream out the holes clean and fill them? Do the holes need to be countersunk or beveled back some to give surface for the epoxy to bind to the outer skin? Some holes are all the way through and some, like the old trim tab mounts, are not. These I am thinking I will drill out a bit larger, maybe 1/4 inch or so to clean up so they will fill and bond completely. How large of a hole can I fill with thickened epoxy?I have seen Shine do up to about 1 7/8 ,which is larger than any of mine. Any guidance appreciated,Thanks
