1970 Seafari I/O for sale
Hi everyone,
Well, I can read the writing on the wall and the fact is I don't think I'll be able to repower my Seafari any time soon. So, since I don't have any place to store her, I fear I have to sell her while she still looks good and before she starts deteriorating. So here goes: 1970 20' Seafari Transom, stringers and sole rebuilt in 1999. No soft spots. Painted in 1999 with 5 coats of Awlgrip Winter White 140 hp Mercruiser also rebuilt in 1999 with approximately 250 hrs. Alpha One Gen I drive recently refurbished with new u-joints and gimbal bearing, 0 hours since repair. Newly refurbished trim/tilt pump with new aluminum mount, solenoids and exterior SS hoses Both trim/tilt cylinders completely rebuilt Twin Optima Blue Top batteries 2003 Continental aluminum tandem axle trailer with LED center lights and excellent tires, very little use. 1 year old white deck mount Ritchie compass Almost new set of "real" white on white Gaffrig gauges (not the Livorsi copies) Furuno GPS Raymarine fishfinder Jensen AM/FM/CD player with 2 coaxial waterproof speakers 4 rod holders 15' Tigress telescopic black/gold outriggers on side mounts Coast Guard equipment Spare tune-up parts for engine Bimini top with cover Complete set of clear side curtains to completely enclose forward cockpit, barely used and in storage bags Two anchors with chain/rope rodes Small fan in cabin Destroyer type helm wheel Boat is in very good shape except for the following: Engine is seized Small crack in sole forward of the tank hatch by the helm seat Plywood side coaming panels deteriorating Right rear access hatch bowed (someone stepped on it) Everything else on the boat works and is in good shape As you can see the boat looks and rides great and all it needs is a new engine and some TLC. She's a perfect candidate for a new I/O or a bracket and O/B since all the hard work on the transom and stringers has already been done. I'm asking US$4990 for the whole thing but I'm open to all offers. She's located at Homestead ARB south of Miami. Hopefully someone can adopt her and give her a good home soon!
