I popped his numbers in merc’s prop slip calculator and to hit 51 knots he would be at zero slip. At 51 statute slip is about 13% which sounds about right trimmed out WOT.
In Sebastian I was able to hit 44 knots with mine with 18 gal of fuel and 2 people on board getting 1.8 nmpg @ 6100. Still, very impressive fuel burn at cruise on the G2. I never see more than 2.8 @ 32 knots which is 3.1 statue.

It was super light. 1/4 tank of fuel. Once I filled the tank and loaded up my family most I could get was 45 knots. Here is a pic as my wife was yelling at me to slow down..... Ha

For the 23 Tsunami I'm working on, if I could get 2.8 mpg statute I would be able down size the fuel tank size. My goal is to have over 500 mile range with a full tank. We shall see. |

I'm with ya Ed, I'd love to replace my fuel tank from 144 gal to around 100 gal. The guy I bought my boat from was big into grouper fishing and he ran out from Tarpon Springs to the middle grounds all the time with an OMC V-6 looper with the 144 gallon tank full plus a couple of fuel bladders. Now that I've re-powered I have no need for the extra weight that far to the rear of the boat..
