She just ran away from that pesky following sea in a level and calm manner. I wish I could have watched more of the subtle imputs and adjustments of the pilot in command, but I wanted to remain in the boat. Denny can relate to that. You cannot see the sea in pics...
why? The Seafari came out of the water 4 or 5 times. That shocked me. I thought we we would launch on every wave. She landed with beautiful manners. Softly and absolutely solid.
No shudder or downright shake. No other boats were out and the Captains gave us a dance.

Many, many thanks to everyone, especially Ken for the tips on Mosquito Lagoon(fresh clams are yummy), the photographers for going with Dave and I offshore, the pictures(what fun to see my own boat run), Denny for taking care of us in Mosquito Lagoon, the welcome, the camaraderie, the FOOD. Our first gathering and it won't be the last. We had a great time. Y'all come to the West Coast next year.

Now, whats all this "flying" stuff???? Misstatements, rumors, half truths, I don't care what the pics show, Photoshop can fool you. There is no way the boat was that high out of the water. I mean, think about it. How likely is it that a 25 foot boat could run 20 knots straight into a confused 4-6, launching off the waves, airborne 8-10 feet above the water at the steering wheel, fall straight down and hit the water with no bam, no slam, ready to do it again, and feel like an old guy could go to Bimini in that stuff. It just ain't reasonable. . . . . .

Until you drive a 25 ft Seacraft Seafari. I don't know how it does it, but I and my aged kidneys are very glad it does.

Oh yeah, Denny has got some nice shots of Dave's Seafari which should be up soon. I was too busy to watch on the way out, but it was a real pleasure to see how flat and stable Dave's boat ran on the way in, truly sweet! Gotta get me a set of those big tabs.

I would bet that the pic in question is your desktop pic by now..

How are we going to top this past menu ... raw oysters, steamed shrimp, pulled pork, smoked turkey, BBQ Mahi-Mahi ... plus all the side fixin's and desert too!

And all the great boat designs .... including the addition of TWO 25' Seafari's to our group. What a thrilling ride in Dave's 25' ... yea, so she banks a bit on turns, it's the landing that counts and it was soft ... very impressive. Dave was a master at working the trim tabs, the throttle and the steering to give us an incredible ride. Thanks Dave!

And Connor, what an awesome guy with lots of good stories to tell! So glad you came and look forward to a ride in your 25' at the next gathering! And Connor, there was no photoshop on that picture ... that was the real thing!

If you couldn't make it, you missed a great time ... but hopefully you can join us at our next gathering for an incredible adventure!

The real thing is pretty impressive to me. If I hadn't seen it on Eric's phone right after the ride, I'd have been certain photoshop was involved. Had no idea the boat was that high.

Great to meet you as well. You will always have a campsite on the Island Of Misfit Toys. Watching your boat land was a pleasure. Feeling the same was even better. As Chuck would say,Outstanding.

Speaking of toys, Richard said his old 28 would flat out smoke his new 31 Contender in the slop and I now believe this to be true.

I was on a J-----r 31 years ago. 130 hours or so on his new sled and no prior wheel time. The morning was 1-3 and we burned 49 gph @ wot with twin 250 efi Merc`s. The afternoon got to 2-4 and she shuddered like jello upon landing. She banged and banged like Bam Bam on the Flintstones. Bang. Shudder. Bang. Shudder. Bang. Shudder. I told him he was hurting his boat and he slowed down. He was already at cruise and said it got worse going slower. He was almost right.

DeSoto in the Fall? Brian wants to fish Sunday. Love Spring in Florida.

Sorry Charlie... EFI's were not even in the works 31 years ago...
