Re: Who wants boat porn?????
holy crap, is that blob of putty all that was used to bond the sole/cap to the tops of the stringers
How far above the tops of the stringers is the surface of the sole? Im wondering if I wont cut the tops off the stringers and raise them so the sole can be epoxied down to the stringer top. Joel

Re: Who wants boat porn?????
im going to look at a bracket now and i looked online at how to measure transom angle with the carpenters square. i get 3.25 inches on mine so that equals 13 degrees? the same principal would work on the bracket too wouldnt it? put the square on the swim platform and measure where the short side hits the bracket??
on another note there is a little bit of a hook in my hull. is there anyway to fix that?? |

Re: Who wants boat porn?????
Blue, I looked at a 23 Sceptre up in Jupiter for Island Trader before he found his 21. As I remember, it was an 80's vintage post-Potter era boat, and it also had a hook in center panel on port side, about 1' fwd of transom.
As I understand it, there was one Potter mold that had a hook in it and he supposedly warned the SeaCraft Industries outfit about it when they bought him out and told them not to use it. However it evidently did get used anyway. Denny
