I'll bet we have a few 21 owners who would like to test out their original VDR hulls against the waves and water, crossing the FL Straights. Feel free to put a few "mock itineraries"on here to discuss the schedule. I have a feeling there will be some who want 2 weeks and others who will want to spend less time just hanging around Grand Bahama

I'm new here, so I don't know exactly what your are looking for, but I assume most everyone needs a room, my thoughts would be Old Bahama Bay, then on to Green Turtle, they have cottages where you can tie up right infront, maybe after that venture to Hope Town, from there you can get anywhere, give some ideas and I'll throw some back, what time of the summer? I'll be alot slower than the rest, but I get to sleep in my shell, I plan on being out there 2 weeks.

Who's in on this and where would we leave from?

How valuable would a dodger be?

We cross Lake Ontario frequently, a 70 mile open water crossing. When you get over there, however, you're still in America...

Hey Otto-
This thread has been meandering along since the Summer. There has not been a solid response most likely due to the time and expense. I will throw out a poll questionaire to get better feedback. As for the departure point..........Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter has one of the best parking areas and protection for vehicles at a boat ramp.

I think it would be best to leave from a few differn't locations. I would intend to leave from St. Lucie Inlet and would certainly enjoy a few boats to keep me company on the crossing.

It sounds like there are a few boats in Ft. Lauderdale and a few in Palm Beach.

Maybe we could leave in 3 seperate groups.
