Default The Stanley \"Cup\" of youth striper fishing!!

Hello all,

Finally Sophia and I hooked into some nice fish during this weekends 2 day fishing tournament. We caught our limit of 2 each on our first day of 15lb, 25lb, and two 35lbs!

We were releasing fish in the 25lb range to before we caught the second 35lbs.

Unfortuneately there were bigger fish caught in the adult division, something like a 44lbs, 40lbs and 37lbs … so once again I could not make the board …. next year.

But Sophia won 1st place in the youth division! The 25lb fish was good enough, the 35lbs was more than enough. She takes home the "cup" for 2008 until next year for the best combined weight in 2 days at ~60lbs!!

Alex had to get into the pics …. He has been eyeing the "cup" …

- Nick

Congratulations, Sophia! Alex, too! I'm sure the sib rivalry led to big fish honors. Pretty dandy Skippering, too, CSNick!- Get some pics of your rod/radar arch up. Looks very nice so does that crystal or eisenglas... Love to see the young'uns catch the big'uns Way to go!

Congrats to Sophia, outstanding work!

Hey Nick, 2 weeks ago Saturday were you fishing off George's Island and around Harding's Ledge?

That's great. Sophia can look back at that when she is all grown up and remember her "daddy's little girl" fishing trips...

Fantastic getting the kids involved like that - even more fun for them when they do well in a competition. My girls are 9 and 11 and I love getting them out on the boat.
