All SeaCrafts have a Great hull design so compared with other manufacturers (same size hull) usually the SeaCraft is at least as good or better riding than what you are comparing it with. I own the 23’ and love it. I have never ridden in the 25 but looked at them several times. Personally I don’t care for 25’ boats most are two big for one motor and not quite long enough for two 6 cylinder motors on the back. I like to go from 23’ one motor to 27-31 two motors boats. I wish they stretched the newer 25’s to 27’ that would really get my attention. You might find a used 27’ SeaCraft for sale they were made for several years. The inside dimensions of the 25’ is just a tad bigger then the 23’ plus the intergraded engine bracket added. There is one member of this forum that has had a major problem with his boat it seems that the manufacturer messed up big time in the bracket area of the boat that has caused cracking and de lamination of both the transom and deck. The boat is still under warrantee but they have not done the right thing by giving him a new hull. Other than that I don’t know of any other problems with the boat. Good luck and welcome to the board.

Jim,
The 25' is essentially a 23' with an integrated bracket/Euro transom. SC didn't start producing them until the late '90s, so you won't find any from the pre-Tracker days. As Fellow-Ship mentions, the hull design is the same as it has always been, but in recent years, the construction quality has slipped when compared to the '70s and early '80s boats. As with any product, there are going to be lemons, so I don't want you to think all new SCs are junk. I'm sure there are many 25's out there that have not been a problem at all to their owners. You may want to pose your question on a board like THT where you'll get a wider point of view. A lot of owners of newer SCs don't weigh in their opinions on this site, perhaps because they think it is for older models only.

CaptnC ....

arctekmarine is legit (unless someone pirated his handle from THT) ....but I think you're best to do as you are and keep a low profile till this mess passes over ....

Certainly was hoping that things were getting better for you ...but from the "tone" it sure doesn’t sound that way….. Very curious to hear whats going on but its not worth jeopardizing your situation over …. Sorry to see this continue on with what looks to be no resolve

Jim .... Welcome to the site !!!

There was a 25' Seafari that was produced in the 70's.

CaptnC - He's legit, he's on ALL the boards now He's also a marine metal fabricator out of CT

Hi Jim , John from Striped-Bass, sorry I haven't gotten back to you yet - just slammed busy. If you want a 25, find a nice 23 and put a Hermco Bracket on it.
