Thank you all for your input. Putting a single 250 or 300 I'll be loosing weight. There is not much choice without altering transom. And that wont happen because I am a guy who likes to keep toys original. Now its just deciding between Merc and Yammy

they dont like to tell ya, but the only difference between a Verado 200 to 300 (or in between) is the PCM (computer module). i sourced an OEM 275 PCM for my 250HP, believe it may need re-calibrating to DTS shifter I dont recall with, if it did the tech did it in under 5 minutes, basically unplugged plugged maybe 2 minute calibrate and boom! did have an off duty tech help me, dont recall if he did any programming think so he borrowed something from the dealer. you can check out screamandfly, simon motorsports,veradoclub etc. they have the scoop. Simon also re-calibrates PCMs if send in, maybe other shops also. i did it off warranty of course. dealer freaked on me when i asked them when warranty ended to assist, their final response was you would violate EPA emissions direct verbatim from merc ha ha. 7-8 years zero issues. you cant mix Gen1 and Gen2 PCM computers though. nice thing with supercharged engines out of the factory . programming is the only difference in HP. same blocks. the lower units now are brick sh*t houses, if buying real old like mine double check they have the newer unit...

really cant go wrong with any modern OB these days...
