Well:
"One inch done and still coming " should have read, "One inch down and still coming", sorry for the typo Don. It now 8:30 and 5" doWn and the wind is picking up and the flakes getting larger. Power is the biggest worry, but hey, that's what I went to camp for to learn! Our fearless governor, Deval Patrick, aka Obama lite, has declared state of emergency and ordered all vehicles off the road except for listed public service exceptions- $500 fine and/or 30 days in jail! I've never heard of anything like it before. Well, at least not in the USA!

We are past 2 feet up here- all powder, blowing everywhere. I almost can't find my car in a 4 foot snowdrift.

Well, snow is over where I am(Hampden county,in western Ma.) 21 inches, and higher drifts at my house. There were greater amounts the further east you go.
Spent from 8:00 am to 12 noon with the snow blower, the roof rake, and a shovel. Just read an article online saying that folks from the northeast are leaving those states in record numbers for states like Florida and the Carolina's for the climate and lower cost of living. I'm giving that some thought. And Deval Patrick, wonder boy that he is wants to give illegal aliens drivers licenses and in state college tuition, but will fine you $500.00 for driving your car to work. What a Turd.

Yes Ken,I have been giving some thought to getting out of the northeast, and heading south.
I've been spending a little time online looking at real estate in Florida. It's easier to say then it is to actually do.Most of my family, lives close by,except my son who lives in Long Island NY. See a lot of very reasonably priced real estate around Cape Coral on the net,but don't know anything about that area.I don't care for the streets after streets of the same cookie cutter houses that all look the same. They are not what i'd want to live in. I'd prefer something a little older with some charm.Nothing big or expensive.Financially,it's out of the question for me to have two houses. Thinking maybe best bet would be to spend the summers in my camp in Western NY,and sell my home in Ma.and get a place down south for the late fall to early spring. I need to take a Florida vacation and go there and check out the areas that are affordable. I just have to build up the nerve to do it.Still have a year to go for retirement.
