1969 27' SeaCraft Race Boat For Sale
1969 27' SeaCraft for sale.
This is one of about a dozen racing hulls built in the late 1960's. Currently powered with a 2003 Yamaha ox66 250hp outboard (low hours!). Action welding T-top and electronics box. Aluminum and fiberglass leaning post. Owns and Sons "Aluminum Slide-On" trailer, new torsion bar axles, wheels, and tires last year. I rebuilt the boat in 1990 and it has been fished hard since then. It is due for some serious work, deck is soft, and gunnels need a rebuild. This is a fabulous ride I just do not have the time (or desire) to rebuild the boat again. Asking $12000.00. Awesome boat!!
That first pic looks like it floats pretty high. Add a bracket to this boat and wow!!!! If I had some extra cash I would buy this in a heart beat and restore it. It would be really cool to rig it out just like the pic of #31. Put a full cap on it and two or three inline mercs. Are the spray rails a must on this boat? 27 Race boat
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the welcome! I'll try to answer a few questions, First, yes I consider the spray rails a must (I'm not a builder, but...) as you see she is narrow, in a following sea she does want to dig. Obviously, if you only race, and have her kicked up, there's not a whole lot of need for them. I did a lot of scuba diving so we had a lot of weight onboard. I'm not sure of exact width at transom waterline, I think right around 6'(I'll measure next time I'm home). As far as a bracket goes, I would be a little leery, remember that "long and skinny quote"? I do not know how she would tolerate the center of gravity being moved back that much. And trust me on this point, I have NEVER!!!! ridden on an outboard like this one, I've run through oceans that Sportfishing boats had to slow down for. Hope this helps. Have a great day, Richard

Sweet Ride.
How practical is it to turn this boat into a fishing boat? I love those lines.

LOL. This boat is sex on a trailer. Damn. Not sure it would be better for fishing than a 23, but its just sleek. i'd be single if I bought this. tempting.
